When to Enroll in Plan C
The best time to enroll in any Medigap plan is during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period. This 6-month window begins the month you turn 65 and are enrolled in Medicare Part B. During this period, insurers cannot deny coverage or charge more because of your health history.
Outside this window, you may face medical underwriting unless you qualify for a Guaranteed Issue right. Enroll at the right time to lock in the best rates.
